2007 Year-End and W-2 Form Update

As a follow-up to the Spring Hires Business Process Guide message that was sent on December 12, 2007, we wanted to remind you that:

We have received several concerns about the time constraints due to the change in the DTA deadline for Wednesday, 12/26/07. We apologize for the several changes made to the calendar. This change was made due to the holidays and year-end reporting. With that said, the DTA deadline will be on Wednesday, 12/26/07 with a time extension to 5:00PM.

Any estimated hours from pay period 11/18/07 that have been corrected in Time & Labor will be reflected on the next pay period ending 12/02/07; with a pay date of 12/07/07. For more information, please contact your HR payroll representative.

With the holiday’s fast approaching, there are changes coming with the holiday schedule for the November and December Payroll Production Schedules. The Payroll Production Schedules can be viewed by going to http://hris.asu.edu, click on Tools and Applications and view Payroll Calendars. Please consult the November Payroll Production Schedule for the current schedule. The December Payroll Schedule is under production and will be published shortly.

We are moving toward processing payroll, additional pays, pay corrections, ad hoc salary changes, and DTA entry on a regularly scheduled basis. Listed below is our planned payroll production for the rest of the October payroll period.

1. Wednesday, October 3rd

• Deadline to submit HR paperwork – new hires, additional pays, pay corrections, ad hoc salary changes, demotions and benefit changes by 5:00 p.m. for the October 12th paycheck

2. Friday, October 5th

The September 28, 2007 payroll has been confirmed and will soon be available for view through ASU interactive.  In prior notes, we've discussed that this payroll was particularly challenging because of the change to wages and salaries resulting from the annual salary increase program, retro payments for the program and the adjustment of salaries from the 26.1 to the 26 per-pay-period amounts. This complexity will provoke questions, so we are providing you with some tools to help you.
